Cerrahpaşa Medicine’s Closed Sections to Reopen at New Location on April 25
Cerrahpaşa Campus in Istanbul, Turkey will be the main location for all polyclinics, as well as the basic medical sciences building for the first three grades. The campus will also serve as the main site for services and medical activities, while steel construction buildings will be used for operations. The construction of a new 220 thousand square meter Cerrahpaşa has already started and is expected to be delivered within 600 days. Murat Dilmener Hospital will start offering services from Tuesday, April 25th, with the emergency service being the first available. Gradually, each department will open at least one polyclinic on campus, while each unit is under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Murat Dilmener Hospital that will offer an outpatient clinic. Despite most inpatients being located in Murat Dilmener Campus, 80% of polyclinics will still be in Cerrahpaşa Campus. In terms of surgeries, 24 operating rooms will be put into operation quickly, and intensive care units will be turned into operating rooms for minor surgery branches within 10-15 days. The campus‘ capacity seems to be without any problems as Sadi Konuk has made the space that is comfortable for two people and is allocated for the use of Cerrahpaşa.
