„Massive Firing of Military Intelligence Officials in Hungary“

Hungary is set to dismiss more than 50 service people from its military intelligence as part of its drive to recruit younger soldiers and officers. The government recently opened a path for older crew to retire, which resulted in over 100 generals and top officers being dismissed. At least 53 people will be fired from the Military National Security Service (KNBSZ), which has a personnel count of around 1,000. The news comes amid an ongoing conflict in Ukraine, leading analysts to question the timing of the dismissals.
