Last Minute Economy News: US Indices Experience Decline

Indices in the US opened lower on Wednesday as a result of the latest retail sales data offsetting gains. The Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq all opened in the red. The Dow Jones fell 47.98 points or 0.14%, the S&P 500 opened down 6.11 points or 0.15%, and the Nasdaq fell 48.36 points, or 0.40%. On Tuesday, the S&P 500 rose 1.33%, the Dow Jones by 1.14% and the Nasdaq by 1.99%. Retail sales data for March was released yesterday in the US.
