Business Art It continues to meet art lovers in December. Grammy award-winning Concerto Köln comes together with the violin virtuoso at İş Sanat. The concert will meet music lovers on Friday, December 15, at 20.30 at İş Kuleleri Hall.

Concerto Köln, which has recorded many albums as well as giving concerts in prestigious halls around the world, won the Grammy award in 2004 with the recording of the opera „La nozze di Figaro“ (The Marriage of Figaro). The troupe, together with another Grammy-winning artist Giuliano Carmignola, will be in front of the İş Sanat audience with their Baroque period repertoire consisting of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Pietro Locatelli and Benedetto Marcello.

AEGEAN TURKISH SONGS FROM KUBAT

Kubat, the powerful voice of Turkish folk music, will meet the audience with „Aegean Folk Songs“ on Thursday, December 7, at 20.30 at İş Kuleleri Hall. Kubat will be accompanied by Canan Çal, one of the new generation voices of Turkish folk music, in this concert.

“VOICES OF THE WORLD” WITH KARSU

Karsu, who has made a name for herself lately with her extraordinary interpretation and stage performance, will meet her audience at İş Sanat in the last concert of the year. Tickets for the concert titled „Voices of the World“, specially prepared for İş Sanat by Karsu, who masterfully blends jazz, blues, pop, funk and electronic music, were sold out shortly after they went on sale.

I AM ON A LONG AND NICE ROAD IN THE YEAR OF ÂŞIK VEYSEL POETRY RECUM

On the 50th anniversary of his death, Âşık Veysel is commemorated at İş Sanat with a poetry recital titled „Uzun İnce Bir Yoldadım“. The concert, compiled from the poems of Âşık Veysel, the last representative of the minstrel tradition, who passed away in 1973, will take place on Monday, December 11, at 20.30 at İş Kuleleri Hall. Poems sung by Metin Belgin, Bülent Emin Yarar and Hakan Gerçek will meet with Âşık Veysel folk songs interpreted by Cengiz Özkan.

Serdar Yalçın is the musical director of the concerts, whose texts were arranged by Atilla Birkiye and staged by Mehmet Birkiye. The concerts, where unforgettable works of our literature are blended with music, will continue with Ahmet Muhip Dıranas on January 22, Nezihe Meriç on February 19, and Melih Cevdet Anday on April 15.
