Turkish Women’s Basketball Team not allowed to celebrate their victory with Turkish flag
The Turkish Women’s Basketball team, who won the FIBA Women’s Europa League Final Four, was not allowed to celebrate with the Turkish flag. The officials did not permit the players to show their joy with the Turkish flag at the end of the match.
In a game played in ÇBK Mersin Yenişehir Municipality, Turkish team showed their dominance and beat Czech representative ZVVZ USK Prague 78-58. The players were ecstatic and wanted to celebrate with the Turkish flag, but the officials did not allow them.
This is not the first time that Turkish athletes have been prohibited from celebrating with the Turkish flag. Due to political tensions, Turkish athletes have been banned from displaying the flag at different events.
Despite the ban, the Turkish players celebrated their victory with enthusiasm and joy. They waved their hands and sang the Turkish national anthem, showing their love and respect for their country.
The Turkish community is outraged by this decision and has voiced their dissatisfaction on social media. They believe that every athlete should have the freedom to celebrate with their country’s flag after winning a tournament.
The decision will not dampen the spirits of the Turkish Women’s Basketball team and their supporters. They will continue to play with pride and passion for their country, as they strive to bring more victories in the future.
