Touristen in Kasachstan erhalten QR-Code-Karten zur Orientierung

Foreign tourists in Kazakhstan receive QR-coded cards for safe travel
In Kazakhstan, foreign tourists have started receiving cards with QR codes to access the multilingual Safetravel.KZ portal. This initiative was announced on February 5, 2025, by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aims to ensure the safety and convenience of tourists during their stay in the country.
Upon entry into Kazakhstan, each foreigner receives a special card with a QR code while passing through border control. Scanning this code directs the tourist to the portal where they can find important information, including recommendations for a safe stay, links to mobile applications, and contact services for emergency services. The portal offers services such as a mobile app for contacting the police, guidelines on migration laws, city maps, and lists of official taxis. This system not only enhances safety but also helps build trust in Kazakhstan as an attractive destination for travel and investment.
The first cards have already been distributed at the international airport in Astana, marking an important step in the development of the country’s tourism infrastructure.
