The Prime Ministry announced that a protocol is on the agenda for the transfer of the financial resources to be collected on a voluntary basis from the salaries to the Champion Angels Survival Association.

Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Prime Ministry made a statement regarding the visit of the “Champion Angels Survival Association” to Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
The following statements were included in the Prime Minister’s statement:
“On April 5, 2023, the Champion Angels Survival Association, which made a visit to the Prime Ministry for the first time after its establishment, requested a land from our Prime Ministry for the construction of the school complex project they started to have the memories of our children who lost their lives in the earthquake disaster.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel responded positively to this request and to the members of the board of directors who were present during the visit; Within the scope of the „Financial Assistance for Earthquake and Other Natural Disasters Law“ signed by the Presidency, he presented a new proposal regarding the use of the financial resources to be collected on a voluntary basis from their salaries in the construction of the school project they plan to start by transferring them every month.
Evaluating this proposal, the Champion Angels Survival Association Board of Directors held on 06.04.2023;
“Our Board of Directors will ensure that the salary deductions to be made voluntarily from both public and private sector employees are transferred to our account at İşbank Famagusta Branch, which is affiliated to our registry number 4226, opened on behalf of our association through the Ministry of Finance, on a monthly basis, to ensure trust and transparency between our government and our association. took the decision to sign a protocol within the framework of the aforementioned conditions.”

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who supported the decision taken by the Champion Angels Survival Association in order to contribute to social solidarity, met with President Ersin Tatar on the enactment of new regulations regarding this new development, the signing of a mutual protocol with the Champion Angels Survival Association and other necessary amendments to the law, if any. they had an interview.
After this meeting, President Ersin Tatar sent the law back to the Assembly of the Republic today;
“The Law on Financial Assistance for Earthquakes and Other Natural Disasters”, which was accepted at the 39th session of the Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, dated 27 March 2023, and sent to me to be published in accordance with the 1st paragraph of Article 94 of the Constitution, with Prime Minister Ünal Üstel. As a result of the consultation, in order to enable the necessary arrangements and/or amendments to be made in the law, I send back the Law on Financial Assistance for Earthquakes and Other Natural Disasters in accordance with the 1st paragraph of Article 94 of the Constitution, request the necessary, and wish you success in your work.” announced to the public with the reasoning letter.
In the light of these developments, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel instructed the preparation of a protocol together and the initiation of necessary studies for the immediate completion and entry into force of new regulations to be made in accordance with the decision taken by the Association for the Survival of Champion Angels.
This sincere stance, which is the full manifestation of the Prime Minister’s and the government’s statements that all deductions to be made from employees on a voluntary basis will be spent on the construction of schools during the legislative work, will make significant contributions to social solidarity, provide a school worthy of our Champion Angels in Famagusta, keep the memories of our Angels alive and contribute to our education.
