The Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the signing of the „State Partnership Program“ agreement between the Greek Cypriot Administration and the USA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA) Ministry of Defense and the United States (USA) New Jersey State National Guard signed the „State Partnership Program“ agreement on March 30, the USA’s Greek National Guard (RMMO) military He criticized it by pointing out that he would continue to support it in the field.

The statement, emphasizing the importance of the effective and de facto guarantee of the Republic of Turkey for homeland security, once again made the following statements:

“The signing of the ‚State Partnership Program‘ agreement between the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA) Ministry of Defense and the United States (USA) New Jersey State National Guard on March 30, 2023, the military, including the arming of the Greek Cypriot National Guard Army (RMMO) indicates that it will continue to support the field. It is now clear beyond any doubt that the USA is following a pro-Greek policy regarding Cyprus, with the influence of the Greek-Greek lobbies.

The USA’s attempt to change the current balance in the Eastern Mediterranean in favor of the Greek Cypriot Administration and Greece, eliminates the possibility of dialogue needed to establish a stable environment in the region. As the Greek Cypriot Defense Minister clearly stated, this agreement and especially the decision to sell weapons to the Greek Cypriot side aims to increase the military power of the Greek Cypriot side.

Against this policy carried out against our country and the Republic of Turkey, we see once again how important and indispensable the value of the effective and de facto guarantee of the Motherland of the Republic of Turkey is for our security.
