The decisions taken at the Güzelyurt District Police Board Meeting were shared.

According to the information given by the Güzelyurt District Governorate, issues such as the urgent determination of logistics assembly areas, the work of mobile base operators in order to avoid communication problems in a possible earthquake, and the determination of alternative routes by the Police Department, Highways Department and the Municipality to reach the region were discussed.

The 17 issues discussed at the District Safety Board meeting were explained as follows:

1. Mobile base operators (Telsim-Turkcell) to work in order to avoid communication problems in a possible earthquake in our district,
2. Identifying one or two personnel from the institutions in the region as search and rescue personnel, and then providing the necessary training.
3. In case of damage to the hospital in a possible earthquake, location determination of the First Aid center, determination of personnel and health materials by the relevant institution of the Ministry of Health.
4. In case of problems in drinking and utility water, the Water Works Department, as the supplier institution, takes measures to eliminate the problem and to continue the water transfer to the municipal tanks,
5. Making legal arrangements to speed up the burial process of those who lost their lives in a possible earthquake.
6. Determination of warehouse locations for the storage of aid materials coming to the region. Assigning duties to the relevant institutions for the storage and distribution of materials.
7. In case the morgues are insufficient, the necessary initiatives for the use of the Cold Storages in the region are made by the Municipality and the Ministry of Health.
8. Planning a generator for each tent city and logistics assembly areas.
9. Establishment of sewerage, water, electricity and road infrastructure in designated assembly and tent areas.
10. Determination of alternative routes by the Police Department, Highways Department and the Municipality to reach the region.
11. Deployment of blood donation vehicles at points to be determined in Kızılay’s assembly areas.
12. Determination of alternative lands required by the District Governor’s Office and the Municipality for the burial procedures of those who lost their lives in the earthquake.
13. More strict inspection by the relevant institutions after the necessary legal arrangements are made in the constructions to be made in the future.
14. Distributing the contact numbers of the main and reserve members of the District Crisis Management to all IKYM members so that they can be reached in case of emergency, and ensuring that they are kept up to date.

CYPFRUVEX is considered)
