
Salahaddin Eyyubi Mosque Now Open for Worship in English

Selahaddin Eyyubi Mosque and Complex, a new religious landmark in Diyarbakır, Turkey, has been inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The mosque, whose foundation was laid six years ago, can accommodate 25,000 worshippers at a time, including the courtyard area. The project was initiated by local businessman İhsan Arslan and was built in the Yenişehir district. The mosque covers a closed area of 43,500 square meters and offers various facilities, such as a conference hall for 700 people, a cafeteria, exhibition halls, a youth center, a library, and education areas. Additionally, the complex has a 2,400 square meters parking area that can accommodate up to 500 vehicles. With its completion, the mosque aims to fulfill an important need in Diyarbakır, a city with a population of over 1.8 million. The building was constructed in accordance with the historical and architectural style of the region and offers a remarkable sight to locals and visitors.
