President Tatar: Our duty is to develop and develop this heavenly homeland with a very high potential.

President Ersin Tatar attended the general assembly of the 5th TRNC Malatya People’s Cultural Association held in the Malatya village headman’s office.

In his speech at the general assembly, President Tatar stated that Malatya is an important settlement for the Turkish Cypriots, and that he and the people of Malatya are like nails and meat, and that they are continuing this sacred struggle together for the strengthening of the TRNC and the survival of the Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean.

According to the written statement made by the Presidency, President Tatar stated that after 1571, the Turkish population on the island of Cyprus from time to time was higher than the Orthodox at that time, and continued his words by noting that the population in the south increased after 1974:

“No one can say to us, ‚You transferred population here’… For our struggle here, of course, it is the most natural right for people who have come to the island and joined our struggle since 1974 to be citizens. The Turkish Cypriot people, one of the two different peoples on the island, are at least as sovereign as the Greeks. This is our mainstay. If they are state owners, we are state owners, this is our right.

Goals; It is to clear the Turkish Cypriot people from this island, to break the ties between us and Anatolia through constitutional games with the fairy tale they call federation, and to end the guarantorship of the Republic of Turkey.

The Republic of Türkiye has always been with us. No one can break the ties between us. Our duty is to develop and develop this paradise land with a very high potential.”
