President Tatar and his wife met with Champion Angels Survival Association

President Ersin Tatar, together with his wife Sibel Tatar, met with the President of Champion Angels Survival Association Ruşen Karakaya and the members of the board of directors.

According to the statement made by the Presidency, Tatar stated that he would always support the work of the Champion Angels Survival Association.
President Ersin Tatar stated that those who lost their lives in the earthquake that took place in Turkey on February 6 will never be forgotten, and that nothing will be the same as before, adding that the pain experienced cannot be explained in words.

Stating that the families of the children who lost their lives will always support the efforts of the Champion Angels Survival Association, which he founded to defend this just cause and to keep the name of the children alive, President Tatar noted that they will keep the names of the children alive. Tatar emphasized that the Turkish Cypriot people are one heart and share their families‘ pain.

“The work done on this event, which has become a social issue, is a contribution to youth and sports. The names of our children are identified with the work done and to be done in the field of sports. We are ready to do whatever we can in this context. Our hearts will always be with you. The Turkish Cypriot people will never forget the names of our children,” Tatar said, adding that this incident is a state issue and that the Republic of Turkey supports this cause.

Reminding that the children were martyred in Adıyaman, where they went to represent the TRNC in sports competitions with their teachers and parents, Tatar wished God’s mercy to all who lost their lives and patience to their families.

In his speech, Ruşen Karakaya, President of the Association for the Survival of Champion Angels, thanked President Ersin Tatar for his support to this cause and stated that they are working on the implementation of some projects.
