Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) (Amendment) Regulation published in the Official Gazette

The Council of Ministers approved the “Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) (Amendment) Regulation. The Regulation entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette yesterday.

With the amendment to the statute, “Rules Regarding the Issuance of Insurance Certificates at Border Gates” were regulated.

According to the information received from the Cyprus Turkish Insurance and Reinsurance Companies Association, the current practice at the border gates as a decision of the Council of Ministers has been added to the statute.

According to the regulation, any insurance company’s name and address, seal, monogram or other similar sign printed on the bottom or back of the insurance document shall not be considered as advertising material, provided that there is no advertising material on the front or the back of the insurance document.

In addition, visitors coming to the country with their vehicles from the maritime border gates are obliged to take out Motor Vehicles Third Party Insurance from the price tariff approved by the insurance manager, provided that it is arranged by the technical personnel of an insurance company that has received a license and license under the Insurance Services (Regulation and Control) Law at the customs of entry to the country. .

Visitors coming to the country from the land border gates with their vehicles, on the condition that they are arranged by the technical personnel of the insurance company in charge of the border gate, who have obtained a license and license under the Insurance Services (Regulation and Control) Law at the country’s land border gates, within the framework of the authority given to the insurance manager by the said law. Motor Vehicles Third Party Insurance has to be taken out of the price tariff that he has received instructions and approval regarding the gates applications.
