„Meaningful Coincidences“: Ayhan Menteş’s Exhibition Opens
Mediterranean European Art Association (EMAA) and Eastern Mediterranean University Cyprus Studies Center (DAU-KAM) jointly celebrated World Art Day by organizing the “Meaningful Coincidences” exhibition. This exhibition featured art pieces from Ayhan Menteş, including paintings, sculptures, and sketches, as well as sound design and music installation by İnal Bilsel. The exhibit opened at the Mediterranean European Art Association (EMAA) venue and was met with enthusiasm from art lovers.
Esra Plümer Bardak, the co-chair of EMAA, spoke at the exhibition’s opening and emphasized the importance of the continued collaboration between EMAA and EMU-KAM since 2014. Hasan Demirel, EMU’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, thanked EMAA for providing the opportunity to showcase Ayhan Menteş’s work to a wider audience.
Uzay Güvendik, Ayhan Menteş’s daughter, expressed her gratitude for exhibiting her father’s work, noting that it was an honor. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Friday between 16:00 and 19:00, and on Saturdays between 10:00 and 13:00 until May 6th.
The collaboration between EMAA and EMU-KAM aims to provide more opportunities to young artists in Northern Cyprus by organizing various art activities. The “Meaningful Coincidences” exhibition serves as a platform for Ayhan Menteş’s artwork to be presented and appreciated by art lovers in the region.
