President Özay Alkan, who took office in the extraordinary congress held in Akhisarspor last month, invited Hatayspor to the district to play their home matches in the new season at Spor Toto Akhisar Stadium. Hatayspor Technical Director Volkan Demirel came to Akhisar upon the invitation of the green-blacks and toured the facilities and the stadium. Akhisarspor President Özay Alkan presented Demirel with the jersey on which his name was written.

Hatayspor Technical Director Volkan Demirel announced the extent of the destruction in the region with his call on social media after the earthquake and called for help.
