1) Intent

Before making wudu, a Muslim makes an intention for wudu: I intend to make wudu for the sake of Allah. As long as the wudu is not broken, this intention is taken as the basis.

2) Washing hands

„Eûzubillahimine şşahtanirracim-Bismillahirrahmanirrahim“ First, the hands are washed three times by rubbing them up to the wrists and between the fingers. The fingers are rubbed well. It is thoroughly cleaned, including the wrist. Prayer to be recited while washing hands: Alhamdulillahillezi ce’alel-mâe tahûren ve ce’alel-İslâme nûran. 5) Cleaning the face three times

After giving water to the nose three times, the face is washed 3 times. Prayer to be recited: Allahumma! Beyyid vechîy binûrike yevme tebyeddu wucuhun ve tesveddu wücûh. Meaning: O my Lord! Make my face white with your light, on the day when many faces will be white and many faces will be black.

6) Washing the right arm

After washing the face three times, the right arm is washed three times if desired, or if desired, it is cleaned by holding water up to the elbows. Prayer to be recited: Allahumma! A’tinîy kitâbîy bi-yemînî ve hâsibnîy hâsâben yesîra. Meaning: „Allâhumma! A’tinîy kitâbîy bi-yemînî ve hâsibnîy hisaben yesîra.“ Meaning: „O my Lord! Give my book in my right hand and make my account easy.

7) Washing the left arm

Like the right arm, the left arm is cleaned in the same way. Prayer to be recited: Allahumma! La tu’tini kitâbi bi şimâlî ve lâ min veâi zahri ve lâ tuhâsibnî hisaben şedîda. Meaning: O my Lord! Do not give my book in my left hand, do not give it behind my back, and do not complicate my calculation.

8) Wiping the head

After washing the left arm, the right hand is held in water, the palm of the hand is placed in the middle of the head, the hand descends forward. Prayer to be recited: Allahumma! Gashshini bi rahimike ve enzil ‚aleyye min berakatike. Meaning: oh my god! Wrap me in your mercy, bring down your blessings on me.

9) Cleaning the ears

After the head is wiped, the hands are cleaned and the inside of the ears and behind the ears are cleaned. Prayer to be recited: Allâhümmec’alnî minel-lezîne yestemi’unel – kavle fe yettebi’une ahsenehû. Meaning: O my Lord! Make me one of those who listen to the word and follow it in the best way.

10) Neck cleaning

After cleaning the ears, the hands are cleaned, 4 fingers (valid for both hands) except the thumb are rubbed on the back of the neck in reverse. Prayer to be recited: Allâhumma a’tik rakabetî minen-nâr. Vahfazni minesselasili wal alâl. Meaning: O my Lord! Protect my neck from the bondage of fire, the chains of hell and bucks.

11) Cleaning the right foot

After cleaning the neck, the right foot is cleaned and rubbed between the toes. Prayer to be recited: Allahumma! Sebbit stepayye ‚alas-sırati yevme tezillü fihil-akdâm. Meaning: O my Lord! Make my feet firm on the sirat on the day when many feet slip.

12) Cleaning the left foot

Cleaning the right foot is likewise cleaning the left foot. The prayer to be recited: Allahumma’c-alli sa’yî maşkûren and sinbî mağfûrîn, his deed acceptable and commercial tabûre. Meaning: O my Lord! Give me a work that you are pleased with, forgive my sin, give me an acceptable deed and a trade that does no harm.

Prayer to be recited by Muslims after wudu: Allâhummecalnî minettawwabine vecalnî minel mutahhirîn vecalnî min ibadikessalihîn. Vecealnî minellezine la *havfün alaihim velahum yahzenun. SubhanekAllahumme vebihamdike Eşhedüenla ilaha illa ente vahdeke la şerikeleke ve enne Muhammeden abdüke ve rasûlüke. Estağfiruke veetübü ileyke.

Meaning: O Allah, make me one of those who repent a lot, and make me one of those who are very clean, and make me one of your righteous servants. Be one of those who have no fear and no sorrow on the Day of Judgment. O Allah, I absolve You of all imperfections. I thank you. I testify that there is no god but You. You do not have a partner (partner). Again, I bear witness that Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is Your servant and Messenger. I seek forgiveness from You and repent to You.
