
High school student hospitalized after falling from third floor in Tashkent

Student Survives Fall from 3rd Floor of Uzbek School
A student in the 11th grade of school No. 289 in the Bektemir district of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, has survived a fall from the 3rd floor of the school building. The student, identified only as S.A., was taken to the hospital where it was confirmed that he had not suffered serious injuries.
According to a statement from the Department for Preschool and School Education of the city of Tashkent, the incident occurred during recess when the student lost his balance while looking out of an open window. Other students immediately reported the incident to the school administration, who then called the nurse to provide first aid.
S.A. was then taken to the hospital in an ambulance where he was assessed and found to be in stable condition. The school has stated that the reasons for the incident are being investigated and that the situation is currently under control.
The incident has led to renewed calls for schools to improve their safety measures for students, particularly with regards to open windows and balconies. Parents and teachers have expressed concerns that such incidents could have been prevented with adequate safety measures and the proper monitoring of student behavior during school hours.
