
Five Medals Won by National Taekwondo Players in Spain

Turkish Taekwondo Players Shine in Spanish Tournament, Winning 5 Medals
Seven athletes from the Turkish Taekwondo Federation participated in the recent tournament held in the city of Alicante, which allocated quota points for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The Turkish team performed incredibly well and secured five medals in total.
The gold medal was awarded to Rukiye Yıldırım in the 49-kilo category, Sude Yaren Uzunçavdar in the 73-kilo category, and Nafia Kuş in the +73-kilo category. Additionally, Hatice Kübra İlgün in the 57-kilo category and İkra Kayır in the 67-kilo category won bronze medals.
The tournament was a great success for Turkey as the women’s team ranked second and the overall ranking of the Turkish team was third in the competition. The Turkish Taekwondo Federation expressed their pride and congratulations to the athletes for their remarkable achievements in the tournament.
These athletes‘ performance in the tournament will potentially lead them to represent Turkey in the upcoming Olympics set to be held in Paris in 2024. With their exceptional skills and dedication, the Turkish team aims to bring similar successes to the country in the future.
