El-Sen droht mit Streik bei Treffen mit KIB-TEK – BRTK
Ahmet Tuğcu, the chairman of the Union of Workers of the Turkish Electricity Authority in Cyprus (El-Sen), issued a written statement after the board meeting regarding the issues with KIB-TEK.
Tuğcu recalled the process that has been ongoing since August with the Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority, stating that Prime Minister Ünal Üstel had promised that the union’s demands would be met, but these demands have not been implemented.
Tuğcu pointed out that the board of El-Sen has granted him and General Secretary Hüseyin Peksever full authority to exercise all legal rights, including an indefinite strike, depending on the outcome of the meeting with the KIB-TEK management on Tuesday regarding the relevant demands.
In continuing his statement, Tuğcu also included the concerns previously conveyed to the institute’s management.
