Award-winning violinist Maxim Vengerov holds solidarity concert in Istanbul

Renowned violin virtuoso and conductor, Maxim Vengerov, is coming to Turkey to give a voluntary concert to donate towards the art education of youth affected by earthquakes. According to reports, at the request of the Ulucan Brothers, who represent Turkey on the national and international stage together with pianist Birsen Ulucan, the artist will perform at the CRR Concert Hall on 19th April 2021.

Vengerov will be accompanied by Turkish cellists Ulucan Brothers and Norwegian cellist Sandra Lied Haga during the concert, which will be titled ‚Solidarity‘ and begins at 21.00. The CRR Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Murat Cem Orhan will also take part in the event.

The revenue generated from the concert will contribute to the art education of those impacted by earthquakes in Turkey. The donation will fall under the name ‚Birsen-Özcan Ulucan Art Fund‘ within the Turkish Education Foundation.

The artists will perform J. Brahms Double Concerto, L. Van Beethoven Triple Concerto, and PI Tchaikovsky Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture in the concert.
