„Atatürk’s Children Art Exhibit Debuts in Central Nicosia“

The Ministry of National Education recently hosted the 2nd Children of Atatürk Painting Exhibition at the Event and Culture Hall in Central Nicosia. The exhibition, which runs until Sunday 23rd April, features paintings by 133 students from 10 public schools, 2 private schools, and 3 kindergartens from the District of Nicosia. The paintings carry themes such as „national sovereignty“, „love of homeland and world peace,“ „freedom“, and „longing for Atatürk“.

The exhibition was opened by Ersin Tatar, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu, and Director of Primary Education Department Hakkı Sıra. The event aims to instill love for Atatürk in future generations while commemorating the 23rd April National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. Director Hakkı Savaş emphasized the significance of the day and the need to support children’s talents, while Minister Çavuşoğlu celebrated the commitment of families in raising their children.

President Tatar, meanwhile, highlighted the importance of training young people as Kemalist individuals and giving children more opportunities to express their talents. The event, organized by the Ministry of National Education, forms part of efforts to raise the country to the level of contemporary civilizations in line with Atatürk’s principles.
