Astana ist Gastgeber der Qualifikationsrunde für die World Nomad Games

Astana – The capital of Kazakhstan will host a strength sports competition on June 2nd in the Triathlon Park to qualify participants for the fifth World Nomad Games planned for September, as reported by the city administration’s press office.
The Tolagai tournament, held in honor of State Symbols Day to popularize the heroes of the Great Steppe and Kazakh ethnospiele, invites athletes from the capital with significant strength to participate.
Participants will face five challenges: they must bend a 1.5-meter-long iron around their neck, pull a 100-kilogram stone over a specified distance, place a 130-kilogram tree trunk on the back of their head, pull a 200-kilogram load cart, and throw a 10-kilogram weapon over a certain distance.
The best participants, determined by the results of these five events, will earn a spot to participate in the upcoming World Nomad Games.
For the second time, the city administration is hosting this tournament with a total prize fund of one million tenge (2,237.96 US dollars).
