
Anweisungen zur Preisüberwachung von Lebensmitteln durch Regierungsbehörden

Bakyt Torobaev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry, held a meeting on food prices in the country.
He noted that the Republic has sufficient food reserves and warned of taking tough measures against those who unreasonably increase their prices.
The Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, the President’s Plenipotentiary Representatives in the regions, local state administrations, and local government agencies were instructed to control food prices.
As mentioned earlier, these government agencies will create a special operational headquarters to control the costs of food in the regions, and will report on the progress of the work to the presidency administration.
The participants of the meeting discussed issues related to monitoring and analyzing food prices, ensuring that they are maintained at a certain level, and taking actions against sellers and individual entrepreneurs who unreasonably increase the price of food and control market prices.
