Abdullah Güler: Keine Generalamnestie auf der Tagesordnung – Last Minute Türkei Nachrichten
Abdullah Güler, chairman of the TBMM group of the AK Party, answered questions from journalists regarding the agenda of the event „Anatolian Conversations“ organized by the Anatolian Publishers Federation.
In remembrance of the visit of the DEM Party delegation to the GNAT parliamentary group of the AK Party: „Are you confident about yesterday’s meeting and process? Will the PKK lay down their arms? We would like to hear your opinion on a Turkey without terrorism.“ Güler responded to the question by stating that they could not provide details about the visit.
„THERE IS A GOOD ENVIRONMENT FOR THE SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM“
Güler explained that they had engaged in a confidential exchange of views with the DEM delegation in a relationship of mutual trust, and he expressed his words as follows:
„There is a good environment for the resolution and conclusion of the problem, which has become the most important issue in Turkey. The atmosphere is very good, it is moving in a positive direction. We see that everyone is trying to contribute to the process.“ The friends we listened to yesterday also stated that they intend to continue contributing to this sincere positive atmosphere. „I see a positive atmosphere and hope that the outcome will be positive.“
„THE NEXT PROCESS WILL LEAD TO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DEVELOPMENTS THAT WE NEVER EXPECTED“
Güler said, „What exactly is expected from parliament in this process? Is anything demanded from parliament and in return will weapons be laid down?“ He replied to the question:
„Our parliament is a place where the highest representation is achieved, whether we consider parties with or without political factions. It is important to have information and exchange of views. The upcoming process will lead to completely different developments that we never expected. This.“ is visible, but we cannot name it yet.“
GENERAL AMNESTY CLAIMS
Güler, leader of the AK faction, said: „There are comments about a general amnesty regarding the process, a house arrest for the terrorist leader Öcalan, and an amnesty for terrorist criminals. Is this possible?“ „I don’t believe it is right to have a conditional, interconnected approach to events. Something will happen, if it doesn’t happen, nothing will happen. The issue of general amnesty is not on our agenda.“ he said.
„THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION PROCESS“
Güler: „Do you find the current process more positive when compared to the solution process?“ He replied to the question: „This is not a solution process, there is no similarity. If we transfer the conditions and characteristics from back then to today, there is no similar situation.“ he said.
